  • Consistent with previous note, a slight bitterness came through in the earthy notes of this bottle but may be the food pairing.

  • Great bottle - i would say this is at peak. Very Meursault on the nose with lemon peel, yellow apples and roasted hazelnuts. Lemon juice, very ripe apples and earthy flavors in the palate. Really well balanced, light in the feet but full of intensity. Maybe a but less power vs 2-3 years ago.

  • Gold-green. Long. A very restrained almost barely ripe pineapple tropical note. Butter from the malo and a spiciness / vanilla from new oak. Great acid with a light underpinning citrus edge - lemon and almost limeiness. Very balanced and elegant. Medium bodied. Really lovely.

  • Pale gold color. Drank a glass plus on consecutive nights. This was good on day one, but better and more complete on day 2+. The nose offers toasted oak and gunflint with a brightness of citrus and lemon, subtle floral notes that evolve slowly, vanilla bean and a dry minerality. The medium plus bodied palate generally mirrors the nose expressing tart lemon and more distant pear. Over the next two days this became much more expressive, with a blend of citrus, green orchard fruits and nectarine on both the nose and palate. That coupled with more integration of the oak and even more delineation of the crisp, dry flinty minerality really made a difference. This strikes a balance of new and old world and skews more old world with a deft balance of fruit and minerality. Drink over the next 5 years. 90pts day 1. Day 2 and 3, 91+ to 92pts.

  • Vivid pear and peach fruit flavors, backed by a rich minerality, buttered croissant, clove, and cream cheese. Developing flavors of candied lemon and hazelnut linger on the lively finish.
