Medium-dark ruby red in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & mulberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, herbs, mint, some spices & a hint of minerals. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sour cherries, strawberries & mulberries with herbs, spices & minerals. Lingering finish. Quite accessible at present with decanting & airing. Although made for near time drinkability, it has the limited potential to continue to further develop with additional aging. Very good QPR for an everyday Chianti Classico.
