This wine is hitting right tonight! Nice color, smooth tannins great mouthfeel - plump blue fruits with a touch of red. This is a great wine, looks like it really improved over a couple of years!!

Good purple color, nice fruity nose which is a bit hot after a bit of decanting. Great mouthfeel, nice blue fruit profile that has a nice clean finish. This wine is much more in my wheelhouse - not as acidic but still good acidity. Nice midpalate fruit. Wondering if I also drank this too early?? Beckstoffer has some nice fruit.

The 2017 vintage have been hit and miss for me. This is a good wine that is showing well at this stage but can still use more cellaring. Dark crimson purple color, with a good nose. On the palate dark fruit blackberry, black cherry currants, with nice extraction. Good but subdued, a bit inhibited flavor wise. Better days are ahead for this wine, it will be interesting to see where this wine goes. Hold for now. 93 Points.

Mike Smith 2018s & 2017s - Myriad, Quivet, Scarlett, Becklyn, and others (Saint Helena): Almost indistinguishable from the 12C, the 12C G3 Reserve displayed a same red and black fruit interlaced with cedar and dry, dusty soil notes; exhibited nearly-identical weight distribution and depth. MAAAAAYBE a touch more intensity here compared to the standard 12C, but if served blind side-by-side, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you which was which. This G3 is a wine to hold for a few years.

Smooth like a laser. Certainly has more age potential. You can taste the production quality, but the fruit still has development room to run.
