Dark reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, cassis & plums with earthy/dusty & herbal overtones, some floral notes, spices, minerals, & cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & pomegranate with herbs, minerals, spices & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Quite accessible at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. Very good QPR as it delivers quite well at its price point.

80% merlot / 20% cab franc. Close out at $11 and this is a fun, earthy, right bank BdX that gives you that French perfume as you swallow. I should have bought more.

Sweet red fruits, fine tannins, silky smooth palate with a little bit of spice but otherwise few earthy or savoury notes. This is the kind of soft easy-going 'modern' (usually right-bank) claret that normally I would find very boring. But it's nicely done with sufficient freshness and acidity to keep it balanced and elegant.

Pure elegance when tasted alongside its Sonoma cousins. Blackberries, ripe raspberries, red cherry, unobtrusive oak and some subtle tar notes. It’s mid-bodied but with nice intensity and complexity, and a lovely finish. Good value-for-money.
