  • Like the previous note, a powerful wine with citric acidity meeting round yellow fruits and honey, with some smokiness that associates in mind with the warmth of the year. Persistent aftertaste of the fruit, softening acids and a bit of vanilla. A very good, rich, Vouvrey Chenin that is maybe just a notch too ripe on fruit and round to be perfect. Hasn’t changed in two years much besides some more roundness. Good to drink but may last decades. Hopefully will have the patience to keep the last bottle in cellar for 15-20 years.

  • Intense nose again; powerful acidity here, quite bracing and punishing at this age. Lovely potential though. Smoky note.
