  • Tasted blind. Red fruit, mint, a hint of green notes, and leather on the very pretty nose. Nice structure with red fruit, blackberries, velvety texture, and still quite drying tannins on the palate. Long finish. This was a great wine, still youthful and dark in the glass, but drinking quite well. 93-94

  • Consistent with prior notes, sous bois and Franc varietal character.

    Early maturity, I'd say, with acidity and tannins still left in the tank to continue evolution.

  • Lovely and definitely entering drinking window with 1hr decant. Second half back in the bottle for 5 hours and will report back during election.

    Even better! A layer of translucent charcoal and distant slow-cooked potroast scents hover above the surprisingly fresh fruit and flowerpetals. This is probably a 40-year wine at the beginning of its plateau. It welcomes aeration but doesn't require it. now-2045.

  • Very youthful with drying tannin. Fresh tobacco leaf, peppercorn, minty, cool, and crunchy with a tense line of high toned red fruit. For my tastes this is probably still 5 years away from a good drinking window, but it's Franc through-and-through.

  • Ouvert 4 heures, dont 2 de carafe, c’est un minimum.
    Dégusté à l’ouverture, le vin était totalement fermé et il a vraiment pris son envol avec le repas.
    Grenat foncé, fruits noirs et poivrons rouges (légers), concentré, moyennement complexe avec du caractère, très belle finale.
    Au début de son plateau, sous réserve qu’on lui donne beaucoup d’air. Sinon dans 5 ans.
