This bottle which was opened for regular wine group and tasted blind. Slight corked note that seemed to almost blow off after a couple hours. Not the best bottle but you could tell it was good wine none the less.

74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Cabernet Franc from deep, porous decomposed granitic soil in the Cachapoal Valley, amidst the foothills of the Andes mountains. Manual harvest. Natural fermentation with no added yeast. Aged 24 months in French oak barrels. 14% Abv. Founded in 2004 on concept of holism in wine: "the perfect fusion between humans and nature expressed as a whole, based on science, technology and knowledge." Proprietors: Alex and Carrie VIK Chief Winemaker: Cristian Vallejo
A(ccuray)=2: Deep ruby/red. Ripe rich Cab blend. B(alance)=3: Robust components in harmony. C(omplexity)=2: Cassis, oaky vanilla, spices, mineral. D(epth)=2: Plush mouthfeel. Full palate and lingering finish.
Wine Tally Score [2,3,2,2]= 9/10
Good year for Cab Franc to play sole second role.

I have read and heard so much praise for this wine but this bottle had cork taint. It smelled musty and was just disappointing on the palate. I have another bottle of this vintage and am really hoping it’s a good bottle.

A beautiful wine, as it should be for this price point. Complex and evolving, a nice splurge.

Hold. Beautiful wine but didn’t seem fully developed. I did get the “crushed walnut” which is nice.
