2001 has been a good vintage, long lasting. Bronze hue, discreet nose, notes of candied fruits without showing any excess of sugar, which is worth mentioning for a 2001

Cork broke right near the bottom and had to push it through. I hate when that happens! Pretty honey gold color. Very strong noble rot nose, actually the only thing I could pick up from the nose. Bit surprised it was drinking so well. I thought it would be past prime but this wine had plenty of fruit and acidity. Not fading at all. Lots of mandarin orange going on here with a nice mouth feel. Crepe brûlée, walnuts and all that on secondary notes. Not a real complex wine but quite enjoyable sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean on this beautiful day.

Surprisingly light colour for a 17 year old wine. Good cork. On the nose honey, mead, lime, exotic tropical fruit note. Good weight, viscous. A beautiful Sauterne with a long finish. Not super sweet or super intense or a lot of botrytis complexity but delicious nevertheless. Great for not very sweet desserts such as tarte tatin and indeed foie gras. I think this will live many years but not necessarily improve.

Still very solid. Has the right small and taste, but maybe a bit more dry and less over-the-top than the best sauternes.

Toronto winetasters light but good nose. Slightly bitter, but still sweet. Will still develop 5 to 7 good years yet
