This Syrah can be summed up in four words: full-bodied, complex, Umami, and class!! Just a stunning vintage from Thompson Vineyard. Constantly evolving with every sip. Aromas of blackberries, plum, strawberries, smoke, olive, and tar on the nose. Tastes of blackberry, soy sauce, and black pepper on the palate.

This is really cool climate syrah. Fresh and flowery nose with a bit of pepper and smoked meat. There is a lot of tension and acidity in this wine. The texture is on the lean side with aggressive tannins at this point in time. I didn't enjoy it on it's own but paired with a ribeye it was really really good. (the fat from the ribeye makes the wine appear fuller in the mouth and tames the tannins; while the freshness of the wine is a god sent to clean your palate)
This is the exact opposite style of Tensley Colson Canyon which is lush and dense and full of oak
