Super pretty and easy to drink. Not the most structured edition of this wine, and with fewer of the spice notes it often has, all of which leaves the fruit front and center.

1st of 3. Decanted and consumed 1/2 of the bottle over several hours. Notes on opening: Translucent ruby. Burnt cherries on the nose. Light, pinot like with a dash of tannin. Served alongside the '19 Monsanto CCR, a darker bigger wine, which my friend preferred. (89-90). Eight day later - excellent, great complexity on the palate. Wonderful. (91).

Very pale ruby. Sweet strawberries and cherries on the nose and a little baking spice. Fresh and structured, but perhaps needs a little more bottle age for the alcohol to integrate fully. Will be holding off for a year before opening another.

PnD. A vibrant pale red color. All about the bright red fruit on the nose and palate. Raspberry is dominant as others have said below. A bit primary at this stage. Very good concentration and structure, all in nice balance. A well crafted wine, and pleasurable from start to finish. Drank over 5 hrs while cooking. The '17 Roagna Langhe Rosso followed.
