  • Just quintessential outstanding aged cabernet franc in a Chinon wrap .Demonstrates an agile hand that yields a more Bordeaux-like texture and smooth passage than the equally outstanding 1989 Raffault, which has more earthiness and bramble. This wine is full of integrated earthy tannins, a barnyard tone seems a level above in an almost perfumed manner, and a medium body with dark fruit and brambly qualities that goes to a full finish. Highly recommended with a short decant.

  • This wine was opened for me as a birthday present while at Racines NYC last night. Simply stated classic chinon that has aged perfectly. A wonderful bottle of wine by an amazing producer that I drank with my dearest friends..
