At peak, more so than other nearby vintages. Just wonderful, not a great wine but still very satisfying. Dusty red-fruits and loam, still fruit-forward, slightly coarse texture that still does not detract.

Dinner at SSG. Very good bottle of Lambrays. The opening nose was a touch funky, some barnyard notes but doesn’t get in the way of waves of sweet dark cherry fruits, bursting full of blueberry, cola and earth. Refined tannins and finishes very long. Drinking at peak at the moment.

NYE Vino Fest (Atlanta, GA): Tasted at the annual 2023 New Years Eve Vino Fest in Atlanta. BYOB and guests were encouraged to bring wines with years ending with a 3. No formal notes, just scores. From Mag. The clear WOTN for me among many wonderful wines. Brad - heavypourwine.com

(Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays) Light red color with pale meniscus; aromatic, dried roses, cranberry, very tart cherry nose; delicious, elegant, tart cherry, tart raspberry, mineral, roses palate; long finish 95+ points
(Lambrays Clos des Lambrays) About 26 hectolitres per hectare. The nose is wide and mineral with fine herbs. Understated, mouthfilling power that manages to expand even further on the mid-palate, becoming ever-more complex as it does so. It's long and reasonably tannic - though the tannins are very soft - Super! The last drops in the glass are finally giving up a beautifully pure cherry note. Already sold-out at the domaine.
