One of the best bottles I have ever had! Excellent fruit with heavy blueberry and cherry coupled with clove, nutmeg and cedar. The tannins were still intact, but not a rough edge anywhere on this wine. Each taste got deeper and richer.

($30) 13.9% alcohol. Initially shows some yeast and bourbon barrel and cherries with a touch of oxidation.Vanilla and tea. Good complexity for a Zinfandel, but not loads of Zinfandel flavor. At times I thought it smelled rather Spanish in style but the palate is much sweeter. Maple. This is the best low octane Zinfandel I have had in a long time. Wines like this will make me eat crow about alcohol and Zinfandel.

Made from the part of the vineyard not leased out to Turley. Nose with fruit and minimal pepper. More balanced than most young Turleys. Massive pure fruit and great length. Drinking great today, enjoy over the next few years.

PTQ wine of the year. Beautifully aged and matured like a grande dame! Zin lovers should be happy dancing all night. Enjoy!
