Very different than the previous bottle. Up front, Grenache flavors dominate, even thought it's not the majority of the blend. Red strawberrry fruit with some spice, but not much of the typical Syrah pepper notes. Some tannins and acidity on the back end.

wet earth on the nose making way to a medium full bodied complex array of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and spicey tea leaves that ends in a faint smokey red fruit kind of way.

I seem to remember liking this more at the winery. A little too big and smoky. Lots of pepper, but no real fruit notes. Definitely not subtle or complex at this point. Possibly could get better with some time though.

Dark, brooding, meaty nose. Palate feature that sweet Colson Canyon blue fruit, alongside a big dose of iron and meat. A little bit of burn on the backside is the only detractor. Really nice wine here with a few years ahead.

Excellent smooth wine. Well aged at seven years. Drink now as I don't think that anymore age will help
