  • Light straw yellow color. Nose gives me paprika, asparagus, ripe gooseberries, fresh and well balanced nose. It changes all the time with breaddough and toffee, then over to ripe pear and spices. Palate gives me apples and pears, very soft and velvety mouthfeel. Gets a bit of a Meursault-feeling from this wine, and after some googling I discover the vineyard "Sous le Puits" lies all the way to the north of the village bordering Meursault. Perhaps that's what I tasted, but I'm not very good at separating the different villages from each other, so it could be random. 6 hours later(I decided it needed som air) there are strawberries and lemon on the nose, together with pineapple. The palate is full of power and wonderful acidity and chardonnayfruit. Roubd and good velvet feeling on the palate and splendidly balanced. Hint of dairy product, apples and pears. I don't really think the wine has benefited a lot from the extra air, but it has gained some more power and length in the end palate.
