One of the best wines and definitely one of the best CDP's we have recently had. Drinking utterly superbly with about 30 minutes of air. Fully mature and a superb QPR wine - drink now. Lean, precise, elegant, very well integrated and tannins resolved. Initial heavy barnyard on the nose with eventual brambles, dark fruit and red cherry. Purple with peripheral bricking, long lingering aftertaste, surprisingly sweet initial approach which quickly resolved and primary flavors of dark cherry, garrigue, grilled meat and tobacco box. Could not recommend more.

Fully mature, but holding up much better than I thought. This is upright and airy with lovely garrigue notes and dusty fruit. Good acidity, good lift. As traditional in style as they come.

As a good friend warned, this is fading. Compared to the 2001 Marcoux, there is much less fruit here, this is pretty much solely on tertiary notes, and while this is lean it’s like the skeleton of the wine is fading too. There’s a note of pop-corn which is I sometime associate with wine that is largely gone. This is not, but it’s time to drink up - fast.

A fine example, perfectly mature, round and balanced with accent on the Grenache. Drink up.

Very elegant wine, cool, calm and collected, ligth on it's feet with a core of caressing Grenache. A point.
