  Poured with the 2012 and a (sadly damaged) 1998. This was super-fragrant, showing a lot of the same cinnamon spice and earth funk as the 2012 but more effusive. The fruit is pale, bricked, and polished with the tannins pretty well resolved, but it's still very structured with crunchy acidity and a stalky streak. Seems to be at the beginning of a good drinking window.

  2008 Burg blind tasting. Voila, finally an enjoyable wine. Beautiful nose of autum leaves, Vosne spice, red fruit. The palate is fresh and elegant. Very solid.

  Reflective of a difficult vintage, it does not have to power and drive of the better vintages but it makes up for elegance and freshness.
  
  Vibrant red full of life, the nose is a blend of perfumed fragrance, cherry, earthiness and some stem notes. Body has darker berries, charcuterie, wild morels with charm and finesse. Lovely long finish with some minerals…..
  
  Drink now to 5+ years.
