A medium intensity nose of lemon citrus, grapefruit, hints of spearmint, blackcurrant leaf and background minerality. A rather subdued palate of citrus, grapefruit with hints of spearmint and leafy herbaceousness amongst a slightly savoury background. A delicate, elegant, med bodied savy with med minus acidity and med length. The wine has typical Loire flavours with a decent length. However, it lacks the typical racy acidity, zest and vibrancy expected, but, then again, it's 4 years old and probably not built for med term cellaring. Nevertheless, still a pretty good wine that I would prefer over Marlborough savs any day of the week.

Pale green, nose of tropical fruit which follows through on the palate with tropical, pineapple fruit, quite full bodied, flabby in fact. Lacks the bright acidity I'd expect from a Loire Sauvignon Blanc.

Recommended by the NY Times as a nice substitute for Sancerre. Complex. Bright, fresh nose with pear and grapefruit notes. Complex taste, with citrus, tropical fruits, zest and minerality. Very satisfying.
