This was showing a little bit of age, turning a darker gold in color. Notes of pears on the nose. Tasting showed restrained pears and apricots, with a strong dollop of honey, and a lingering acidic finish to balance the sweetness of the wine. This was still drinking well, though there were some sweet sherry notes in the background, suggesting some oxidation. But they were slight enough that they added to the complexity of the wine, rather than being off-putting.

Unbelievable value - lighting was not great but color was far lighter than expected - looked and tasted quite young with a long future ahead. About the sweetness level of a Spatlese (perhaps a borderline Auslese) - decent acids level prevented any flabiness -
Citrus notes, a dash of honey with minerality on the finish. Excellent and happy we have a couple more. I think the wine was enjoyed by all.

Subtle, thought-provoking yet gratifying. Remarkably light in color given its age. Nose gradually open, rewarding the patient with a multitude of sensations that become apparent one-by-one: pure apple fruit, mineral, cream, smoke, wet straw, green pepper, and compost heap. Decidedly off-dry up front, and then the intensity of the (thoroughly ripe) acids brings things to a crisp, mouthwatering finish. Ridiculous bargain.

Popped and poured. This wine exhibited a light golden color with aromas of pineapples, candied oranges, apples and melon with hints of honey. On the palate, candied oranges, grilled pineapples, and sweet, ripe cantaloupe with hints of minerality. Nice, lengthy finish. Still drinking young! These wines last forever and are a great QPR! HS92

Drinking well, with good equilibrium. Probably my best bottle.
