A second bottle confirms my earlier take. This time I also noted a lovely and complex hint of green tobacco on the palate. A bit of advice - do not serve this wine too cold. It has a wonderful backbone of acidity, and if it is served to cold, the acidity becomes overly prominent. As the wine comes up a few degrees, the balance is greatly improved and the tropical fruit begins to flourish.

A wonderful discovery for the price. This was a classic Marlborough SB. Marvelous freshly mowed grass sweetened by fully ripened tropical fruits. Plenty of acid to freshen the wine and check the ripe fruit. Long finish - tremendous value. The winemaker is named Fiona Turner, and the label indicates this is her first solo project, having made wines for a number of years. Kudos to her - she got it right and at a price that makes it an added joy to drink this wine.

Straw colour, gooseberry, citrus decadent nose with the hint of herbs and an impression of flint. Attacks with vibrant ripe gooseberry and lemon, follows with straw and some mineral flavours. Acidic, racy, gets a little much on its own but wonderful with food. Finish may be a little short.

Pale, green colour. Gooseberry, some green apple and lime. The palate is really bursting with ripe fruit flavour and correcting acidity. Medium finish. Buy more!

Flint, freshly cut grass and tropical fruit on the nose. Juicy, full palate, not too acidic. Mineral tastes with a mid palate of juicy tropical fruit.
