  • No detailed notes. Consistent with a previous bottle, this wine shines with its light and airy structure. There is no hint of overripeness or excess, and the complexity and purity are stunning. Yet it remains more intellectual than engaging for me, lacking sufficient fruit and sweetness to truly convince. While good, it does not reach greatness, and I fear that as it ages, the little fruit there is will fade, leaving the wine without charm.

  • Parker 100 Pointer Lunch, tasted blind: Nose of rum pot, plum, raspberry, cinnamon spice, cherry, lovely tannins, relatively light, 20 years old was my guess but it was much younger. High tannins on the finish, rose and black tea, Lots of wood but well integrated. This reminds me of Comando G. A top Grenache, how they should be, extracted with a light hand.

  • Part of a small BYO 100 Parker point blind tasting. A truly unique wine. Fruit profile shows limited extraction, initially expressing orange juice and dried red berries. Also coca cola, dried roses and fruit tea. Later also almost bubble-gum like sweet raspberry fruit. Incredibly versatile nose, but the palate is the real showstopper, even if hard to pin down. A singular structure built around acidity, almost like Burgundy, but still with grippy tannin. Good length and restrained fruit. This is truly the Rayas of Priorat. Limited extraction, fresh and structured with a broad range of aromatics. Decanted for 1h, but you could probably go up to 2h.

  • This was excellent, decanted it for 2+ hours. To me, slightly below SQN’s Grenache which are out of this world but still excellent.
