Grand Puligny mature !

Golden yellow in colour, yellow fruit, bubblegum, slightly smoky and mineral on the nose. On the palate good weight and concentration, well balanced despite its richness, a little broad towards the finish maybe. Lovely length. 91-93

Blind, medium yellow, tight almost closed notes of oxidized bruised apples, ending on a short and dull finish. Once unveiled, second time in a couple of weeks I am disappointed with overpriced Burgundian whites which do not seem to be aging gracefully. Tastes like it is already over the hill after 10 years of age. Sad to say drink now and perhaps past it’s prime, a major disappointment. I honestly would use for cooking instead.
Medium golden color. At first beautifully perfumed, with notes of sweet spices, yellow stone fruit, white flowers, chalky minerality, some flintstone, some buttery notes too and some nuts. It‘s medium-full bondied, dense but without being heavy, has superb medium-high acidity providing tension and freshness and very good length. Over the course of the evening traces of TCA were sneaking in and it got worse over the course of the evening. At the end it was undrinkable. I have never had it like this before... weird.

Puligny-Montrachet les Pucelles - blind tasting 1998-2011: Lemon, minerals, ouster shell, a bit of age, but stays crisp. Medium complexity.
