This was enjoyed by the family with a spicy sausage dish on Christmas Eve. Fruity and with a reasonable amount going on. Pleased to say that I have another tucked away, so will report further when that is opened!

Brooding black ruby. Nose sports coffee and dark bitter chocolate. On the palate, rich, full-bodied, with a rich texture. Excellent balance. Flavors are mocha, dark chocolate, and Asian spices. Chewy, with a nice long finish. Drinkable now but should last for many years. 4-11-16-8: 89/100.

Dark purple with a violet rim. Fair legs. Crushed raspberries and violets in the nose. More lurking, but hard to put a finger on it, lots of promise. Fairly rich and gutsy fruit in the mouth, but smooth and balanced, not overripe or too fruity. On the rustic side, but drinkable even at this young age. 4-13-15-8: 90/100.

Purple fruit, plum and tobacco on the nose. Plum and sherry cask on the palate. Medium finish.
