PnP. Full bodied rich fruit aromas; dates, blackcurrant. Dark and brooding garnet in glass. Flavour reminiscent of quality LBV port with (some of) the sweetness substituted with maquis herbs, mint and with a full tannic grip. Hardly subtle or refined but nonetheless pleasurable, extremely well made full bodied red for your red meats and strong cheeses. A permanent standby in my cellar. I tend to drink up within 6-7 years of vintage to let this wine show at full power.

Dark Purple Color... vibrant nose that smells like Clove, and Black Pepper. It tastes like Blackberry, Red Currant, Black Pepper, Pomegranate, Cherry, and Coffee. Good drinker now with cigars or spicy food, but could benefit from some addition lay down time.

Inky black in color, enticing, with an extraordinarily forward, almost Syrah-like nose full of black fruit, tar, peppercorn, and bay leaf. Full bodied on the palate, round, rich, with lots of sweet, almost jammy fruit balanced by ripe tannin and good acid.

Decent but rather ordinary wine - unusually plummy for a Douro

Fruity but a bit one dimensional lacking any firmness from tannins or freshness from acidity
