I thought I'd finished my stash and ran across this clearing out the nooks of my crawl space. Opened with trepidation, this was a great bottle. The wine had lost most of its weight and showed as a super-refined, light, almost ethereal expression of Chablis tang and tingle. Really a wonderful experience. Don't know if I have the nerve to age Michel's bottles this long on purpose, but I'm inspired to hold out longer on some of my MdT stock.

Not bad but not good: non-descript. Either shut down or over the hill. Because it's a Louis Michel, I root for the latter, but this bottle was my last, so I'll have to rely on others' notes from here out.

This wine was deliciously fat young, went through a lean, miserly period, and is now very fine, combining delicacy of mineral picquancy with firm acid structure and sumptuous fruit, and continuing to develop well for a couple of days after opening. Open one now, if you have a few. What a good source!

Definitely past its prime. Just a bit simple, needs a solid decant to remove hint of vinegar.
