  • Brought to someone’s home party so no detailed tasting note. Very youthful for the age and has lifted floral notes along red fruit aromas. Very elegant and not too new world without too much of oaky notes as far as I remember. Beautiful now but definitely can evolve for next 5 years at least. 85~93+.

  • Color: light to medium ruby with blue and grey
Nose: raspberry, licorice, wet leaves, red apple, potting soil, beautiful violet note
Palate: delightfully high acidity, medium tannins that are barely perceptible on the sides of the tongue, medium body and perfect balance. Feels medium on the alcohol. Salty. It has a lot of incisiveness without being big at all, and it changes on you a lot
    Finish: medium-long

I'm rating this a bit conservatively, this is certiainly the best northern California Pinot I've had to date. I'm pretty sure this can go a lot more, I have a few and will do my best not to just drink them immediately. It will be hard, this one was open for business. Excellent on the p&p, was immediately had with five spice duck, braised leek, potatoes. A dream

  • Five months after the prior — and happily, again showing lovely salinity and pineneedle characteristics. Beautifully balanced, and highly enjoyable over three nights.

  • Nearly 2 years after the prior: Once again, trademark salinity and Pineneedles. Beautifully balanced, with excellent / lively acidity. Still quite primary, but highly enjoyable over three nights.

  • Another great showing for this wine on Thanksgiving. Nice fruit showing with cherry and strawberry along with minerals, mushrooms, earth and floral notes. Excellent wine I picked up for $35 a bottle.
