opens up rather quickly, within 20 minutes after decanting. very brambly and clear fruits including blackberry and red plums. medium acid, and better drunk closer to cellar temperature. a somewhat one-dimensional profile but still pleasing, feels very well resolved already and, based on this bottle, is not something I would hold for much longer. quite delicious with very fatty meats (pork tacos).

Rich, concentrated, forward blue and black fruit flavors... all wrapped in a creamy, white chocolate robe... with highlights of lead pencil and mineral... a silky, smooth mid-palate, with a long, strong finish with fine tannins... and repeating flavors in the lingering finish... Yum... a seriously good new world Merlot... a good steak wine.

Made with estate fruit, this Merlot is has about 15% Cabernet Sauvignon in the bottle. Bright red in colour I found red berry fruit and chewy, ripe, cherry. Lovely mineral finish.

Rich, but really nice acid and integrated french oak. Opened up quickly...was the surprise hit of the night.
