Drinking beautifully right out of the bottle, and at a sweet spot in terms of age: has the classic old nebbiolo flavor profile and the expected dry tannins, but the fruit is still alive, so the wine has fine balance and structure. Maybe not top tier Barolo, but a wonderfully enjoyable example. To want more from a wine is to be unreasonable.

This was a v. nice bottle of wine. Let it sit opened for two days prior to drinking in the cellar, which helped it a lot, I would think. Classic nebbiolo in flavor. As one wag put it at the table, "Now this is a fucking Barolo."

1st of 3 for me and it's drinking pretty well right now. Brickish garnet with tawny veering edges. Aromas of black cherry, rose, tar, licorice, walnut, dark chocolate, lemon, potpourri, and dried spice drawer. Medium (+) body and acid, medium finish, and flavors of black cherry, black tea, lemon, orange peel, and spice. I'm not sure where this will go, but it's drinking well now. Light grip but not in the way of enjoyment at all. 90-91

Wow. Quite surprised at how delicate this Barolo has become. So smooth, so delicious, just completely mellowed out for a Barolo. Yet still substantial. Great nose for days. So sorry I only have one bottle. Red fruit goes into dark fruit then hit with complexities but gentler than most Barolos. Very enjoyable.

I would agree, classic barolo nove and flavor. The fruit is faded and a plesant bitter taste lingers.
