  Intense, brooding, aromatic nose.
  
  Dark sour cherry, brambly dried leaves, old leather, licorice. Good acidity and still some grip left: showing great, probably time to drink though.

  Still drinking well, earthy w some fruitiness and a slightly tannic finish: A bit tight when first open and rust colored hue. Drank side-by-side with a more fruity 2015 of the same wine, which made this one, feel more austere.

  Thanksgiving wine - Coravin pour.
  Really needed at least 30-60 min to open up.
  Similar to other recent notes - holding strong, with obvious bricking on the rim. Blue fruited. No doubt a mountain merlot.

  As others have stated....Still going strong at 10 years. Some bricking but with some time in the glass it really opened up.....even better the second night!
