Slightly spiced with dried florals, like potpourri, a bit of brown sugar on the nose and top end. Hard candy, strawberry and a shade of chicken stock in the center. Some limestone character showing through the fine tannins still present but pleasant with good length.

More aromatic and floral compared to the 2015 de Montille Pommard in blind. A generous raspberry nose that I associate with long maceration. Candied cherry and bell pepper tone. Quite structured like an old school Burgundy producer but the nose is rather charming. 2016? Pinot Noir from the USA? (83/100)

Marquis d'Angerville provning med Guillaume d'A #:
In the family since 1804, one of the first to sell in bottle. 15 he in Volnay (12,5 PCru) G's grandfather was one of the leaders mapping out bourgogne and creating the cru system 1935.
Wide and shallow soil, more structure, fruity start with saline and mineralty finish.
Delikat rödbärig frukt med viss sötma, gräddig.
Härlig balans, drickvänligt men lite kantigt. Behöver några år på rygg. 92p

Crisp and dry, not as good a bouquet or as balanced as the premier cru of the same vintage

Bastille Weekend Recent Release Burgundy; 7/14/2017-7/15/2017 (Dig Wines and K&L Wines, San Francisco): Light ruby. Cool, composed aromas with some mint. Elegant feel, subtly sweet and spicy, finely balanced, excellent texture, long soil-inflected finish. Strikingly classic and dry finish after the exuberant Giboulot Pommard. I loved the way this showed today. By far, my favorite wine of the tasting.
