Love Norther Rhone wines of any colour, and this my very first Saint-Peray is no exception. Made from single varietal 80 year old biodynamic Marsanne. Aged for 16 months oak, 30% new. Medium+ golden colour amber hue. Aroma of acacia, yellow apples, toasted honey, vax, hint of caramel. Palate is powerful and concentrated with smooth texture and rich flavours of toast, yellow apples, roasted cashew nuts, mid acidity with touch of bitterness.

Rhone Commanderie dinner (Little Park): Ever since Pascal suggested to us last year that the up and comers in the Rhone included St Peray whites we've all been trying quite a few of these. This one was fairly nice. It's rounder and lower acid than some others that I've had. I get a bit of honeydew and white melon. Went nicely with some more bold seafood (e.g. baby shrimp and cucumber).

Weekly tasting group RWP #288: Complete surprise which appeared to be Rhone. (@ JdB): In the bouquet flowers and vanilla. On the palate full bodied and a bit fat, some medicine, butter and minerals. Beautiful acidity and some pleasant sweetness. Beautiful and tasty wine. 90 - 92
