Inky color in the glass. Black and red fruit on the palate with notes of clove, leather and mint on the finish. Big, full bodied with grippy tannins and a lingering finish.

Drank this wine beside a 2018 Anakota cabernet and a 2016 Lariana Sixteen. The rest of the group liked this one the best - found it the most approachable although I personally found the Anakota more complex and interesting.
Full bodied with lots of dark berry, cassis and cocoa on the nose. Supple almost velvety mouthfeel. Still had some moderate tannins and lighter acidity.
Definitely know your drinking a Napa cab based wine. The petit verdot and cab franc add a "bordeaux-ish" feel to the wine that I enjoyed and feel added a little complexity.

Full bodied. Intense aroma. A bit oaky. Vanilla, dark fruits. On palate, high tannin. Plum, salted plum, earthy, herbaceous. Very typical Napa. A little boring.

always a delicious bottling from FA. This is full bodied with intense extraction of flavor and color, yet remains in pretty good balance. This bordeaux style blend with perhaps a little too much Petit Verdot ( a grape I loathe) is unaplogetically Napa. The winemaker notes suggests a 20-25 year life which seems a little ambitious considering the moderate level of tannins. I think if they had reduced the PV percentage down by half, it wouldn't come off with that super saturated "murkiness" that it didn't need in the first place. This pairs well with steak and other red meat dishes. 89-92
