High end Champagne 2012 vs 2013, tasted blind (Bad Ragaz): 100% PN, Served blind. Medium yellow. Strict, a bit closed, needs swirling to come alive. Very rich, savory, aristochratic with lots of structure, excellent phenolics on the finish. finish. Feels young with a lot of power and reserve left. Impressive, but one to lay down further. . Still hides a lot of structure and aromas. A great murmur filled the room when the bottle was revealed. Rare bird, a very generous contribution of R.B.

blind The concentration is amazing. The acidity plays for "hours" with your palate. I guessed in the beginning older but it is really fresh. Black currant, spicy and fantastic pure finish. half hour of decantation could help. 99-100

blind Guessed VVF 2008. Unbelievable power and density. You can have with every meat, no problem. Some nuts and chocolate notes, spicy. Even the wine is really heavy, great acidity structure that will finish the bottle immediately. Probably the only time I had the chance to drink it. 99

Tasting: An excellent champagne, but seems a bit young. I have only tried the 2005 before but it was an explosion of impressions both on the nose and on the palate and while the 2013 is wonderful, it is certainly not as evolved as the 2005 was when I tried it.
