  • Nose: New York cheese cake, white flower, peach, honey, mango, mature fig
Notes: disgorged 2019. This is a irreplaceable wine due to historical reasons and the level of complexity achieved by 100% Pinot Noir is beyond imagination. This wine has the complexity and sophistication of Pinot Noir but this special cuvee is also able to deliver the solid backbone and acidity that would usually come from Chardonnay. I can't really say this is too young right now but I suspect another 2-3 years might being the best out of this Champagne. An amazing Champagne however I don't know if it's the vintage I didn't sense the same level of finesse I felt from other vintages and the finish was indeed a slight disappointment given the wine of this grade.

  • Wines of the Gods (House of AC and JC): Light yellow with tight bubbles and nose of nectarine stones and baking ciabatta buns. Sweeter than the 2005 VVF with tight white grapefruit and almonds on the deepening palate, finishing with a whiff of quince and Madagascar vanilla. Seeded pinot vines provide a unique flavour profile, quite unlike any other bubble in the glass, and easy to see how this can be readily be picked out in a blind tasting.

  • this bottle is too young to drink. Aroma of pear and toast.
It's fresh, vibrant and a little bit sweet. However, it's tight on palate and not as intense as those old vintage VVF.

  • Rhone & Champagne x BBQ Meats: PnP, such a young VVF. Really like beer at first, the oxidative notes cleared up a bit to reveal an intense, really intense, expression bodied Champagne. Dark fruit flavors, woody, yet very toned and fresh. Bright while it is dark, like the light that shines throughout the void. Deep in it is a monster asleep. Tremendous energy at its core. Shh, do not disturb. 95-96+
