  • Deep ruby, purple in colour, opaque, with a wide reddish rim and legs.

Powerful and intense on the nose right out of the bottle with the green pepper notes being very prominent. Green peppers, peppercorns, mint, smoke, blueberries, and black currants. After an hour or so in the glass, the green pepper mellows out and the fruit starts singing, with the vanilla notes coming out a bit more as well.

Jammy with very slight sweetness on the palate - Blueberries, ripe jam, some oak influence with the vanilla notes, espresso, and peppercorns. Medium bodied with firm tannins but not overly astringent, there is a good amount of acidity to keep the fruits in check despite being very fruit forward. Finish is quite long with a bit of heat and the fruits lingering around.

Overall, this is quite delicious despite lacking a bit of complexity.

  • Classic and forward nose of ripe blackcurrant, toasted gooseberries, licorice, clove and dried herbs. Palate is rich and fruity. Earthy, gravel and old leather defined the end of the full-bodied structure. Fresh and linear. Finish is clean and long. Ready to drink now and for the next 5 years.

  • Tasted this wine at the Walkabout Tasting at Crystal Wines - Valley Point Chilean Extraordinaire.

Ash on the nose followed by ripe cherries and a smooth palate. In the glass, the wine shines bright like a ray of sunshine in early summer, providing good warmth, comfort without the scorching heat and sunburnt.

Keep for the next 3 to 5 years before even thinking about opening the next bottle.

  • Saturated cassis, eucalyptus, boxwood, and smoky mineral nose. Solid, rich, and weighty palate with very good replays and length.
