Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of vanilla, hazelnut and yellow pear. Flavors of caramel, hazelnut, creme and yellow pear. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink over the short term.

Cathy and I brought to Gordon's on the River in Naples. A bit high $25 corkage IMO, esp in summer when biz was slow. This was an awesome, awesome wine. Rich, full-flavored, NOT overly oaky. I recently opened a 2002 Sonoma Coast and as much as we loved it, this Napa Valley bottling topped it hands down. Despite 9 yrs of age the bottle didn't taste out of prime. This wine paired wonderfully with my delicious miso-infused seabass and Cath's veal oscar. Gave taste to sommelier Ian, captain Tom and food/bev mgr and all 3 seemed very impressed. Love watching expressions as they took first whiff and sip; more telling than their words
Not bad, but seems a little past it's prime. Seems like I let it sit a little to long. Color was good, albeit a bit cloudy, but taste is still sharp, but not quite as good as I recall

This wine seems to be in a really good spot right now. It had a slightly cloudy, mid depth yellow colour to it. The bouquet had notes of butter in it. When tasting it, lots of butter and honey as well as a slight hint of oranges. I don't know if these will continue to improve but it was a really enjoyable bottle to drink tonight.

Unfortunately, this bottle was corked or end of life.
