Slightly abrasive at first, but quickly mellowing: moderate acidity, gaining weight as it warms, and offering a complex array of flavors -- quince, caramel, ginger, sage, slate. Every mouthful seemed to offer new flavors. My mother-in-law though it was slightly sweet -- I didn't think so. The alcohol, though, does become more intrusive as the wine warms, so I would recommend keeping it chilled. Fully drinkable now.

If you like GV, you have to smell and taste this wine ... Very complex aromatically with chicken stock, lentils, white chocolate and some florals (which sound like a horrible combo, but works!) Mid-weight palate with medium acidity and surprisingly low alcohol. Everything in its place for a nice, slow evolution. Would be perfect with Vietnamese take-out or a slow-cooked chicken/mushroom braise of some kind. This is worth seeking out, and a level above any GV I've had in a while.

Nice tropical flavors, transitioning to herbal notes. Alcohol was apparent mid-palate on the transition. Strong acid profile kept the finish tart.

Love the buttery pepper note and the minerality is off the charts. It's like u can taste the soil.
