Black cherries, orange rind, plums, flowers, blackberries, tobacco and smoke filled aromas get your focus with little effort. There is a richness to the wine due to all of its chocolate, licorice, cherries, and currants. The finish combines salty oceanic influences, dark chocolate, citrus, licorice, chalk, and savory fruits, with chocolate in the lingering, dusty finish. I sense this could be even better with a few years of bottle age. A large part of the success with the 2021 vintage here is the concentration that comes from yields of only 22 hectoliters per hectare. Blending 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2027-2050.
UGCB tasting-Amsterdam 2021 Bordeaux 03-04-2024: Like the white here too firm vanilla and wood. The wine is tasty and has a friendly aftertaste, but misses for me the refinement of Domaine de Chevalier and Pape Clement.

(60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot). Purpurrot. Die Nase ist super präzis, Cassis, Brombeere, ein Hauch Tabak, Süssholz, Veilchen, super komplex, schon jetzt. Im Gaumen frisch, rassig, gradlinig und knackig, sensationelle Struktur, feinmaschiges Tannin, dieses ist von höchster Güte, keine Adstringenz, keine Trockenheit, einfach nur sehr hohe Qualität. Im Abgang mit schöner Länge und viel Frische. Ein Top Wein, mit guten Reserven. 2025-2045 (Verkostet im November 2023 in Zürich bei UGCB)
