Another stunning bottle of Pierre Brisset's Cuvée Cassaneas- as a calling card for an estate it doesn't get much better. Reductive note has faded, oak is further integrated and it's all crystalline minerality and citrus refracted through a saline lens with only the finish to remind you of the vintage. Fabulous.

This Brisset fellow is a goddam genius. AOC Bourgogne blanc is not supposed to be this good. It opens up with a big aromatic punch of flint and gunpowder bound up with a crystallized jam of chardonnay that reminds me of a Coche wine, but once you taste it it's not nearly so heavy or heady. It oscillates back and forth between a Chablisienne and more Puligny-like expression with pure, pale pear-like fruit that feels laced with seawater and just hits the bullseye for what you want from the grape.

Fabulous All Sauternes Tasting Dinner: Part Trois (Brad's Place, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Small pour over 15 minutes. Very pleasant, elegant style, more stone fruited, some slaty minerality, 89+ to 90pts.

The 💣 dot com. Layers of flavor here that you’d expect from a wine $20 more expensive. Great value. Delicious.

Apple skin, mineral, matchstick lit in the next room over, a tinge of peach juice, a nice oily and rich feel to it
