My one and only bottle. There were cereal notes in both the nose and palate. In addition to the grain like notes on the palate, I tasted some notes of Apple with a very mineral finish.

pours deep gold. Aroma is of very ripe apples and pears. On the palate, ripe apples, pears and peach.. like a paper bag full fruit that has been left a bit too long. It then transitions to a rush of white pepper and lime, finishing with racing, appetizing acidity and minerality. The texture is fat and round, even a little bit oily, which is in contrast to some of the cheaper Grüner I’ve had. There’s also no hint whatsoever of prickliness, which I was sort of expecting.
And with the food, steak milanese with butter caper sauce and asparagus, it is absolute magic… it has a powerful cleansing effect on the palate after taking a bite of greasy steak, and the lime and pepper notes compliment the caper sauce perfectly. And as everyone knows, Gruner and asparagus is a winning combination.

Elegant and mineral grüner veltliner with typical aromas, peaches, citrus, spices. Nice on the palate with good length.

Terry Theise Austrian/German tasting (Milwaukee Athletic Club): a glassier aromas and a glossier texture than the Nigl or the Ott.
