In a great place but still young - cherry and mint on the nose - lots of mint. Juicy, juicy on the palate - great acidity and great acidity - and a long finish. Really nice and plenty of life ahead given the fruit density - impressive.

Stood up for months and decanted off significant sediment in last 3oz. Light-med ruby, age-appropriate bricking; aromatic, some tertiary balsamic and soy, black cherry, tar; palate is light bodied, high tannins are well integrated, fabulously integrated alcohol (13.5%), high acidity, tons of black cherry, soy, tamari; medium length finish. This seems fully ready with good tertiary character without seeming over the hill at all. Rovellotti is rapidly becoming my "pull-for-any-reason" bottle. Particularly good with homemade bolognese. 92

So good and perfectly at peak right now from Magnum. Wonderfully balanced and dry, but with slightly more concentrated dried cherry fruit than your typical Sangiovese.

Anniversary Dinner (Sorrela, San Francisco): Stood up for 3 months and then decanted off 1-2oz sediment. Light ruby, age-appropriate bricking; aromatic, black cherry, some balsamic, soy; palate is light-medium bodied, medium-plus to high fresh acidity, tannins present throughout and providing structure, balanced medium 13.5% alcohol, tons of balsamic and soy without seeming at all oxidized; medium length finish. Similar to my last bottles, overall incredibly enjoyable and balanced with a blend of mature notes and fruit. 91-92
