  Bought at Bellavino Westlake. The owner Richard poured this for me, my fiancée and two other patrons. My first reaction is that it is very, very thick, and viscous like motor oil. Between the five of us we couldn't describe the taste. What we could agree on was charcoal, tar, and meat. I got some prune as well. Tasted almost like a Tannat. What was there was very, very deep. Certainly could have benefited from a day or so decanting, but who has time for that. Drinking window has it closing in 2010, but realistically I could see this mellowing past 2014. Although I bet this was better young and hot, with more of the sweet/red fruit.

  After reading the notes that are posted on this wine, I think everyone else is being a bit to kind. This is one of the most funky, wierd wines that I have ever had and I really did not like it a bit. I am not sure if its faulty or not but I think this takes extraction to the limit but then there is this wierd green thing going on. It was drank at a party and most of the bottle was tipped down the drain.
