A well-made medium bodied example of Zinfandel; A concentrated palate of wild berries and baking spices, finishing with soft tannins and framed by some sweet oak; Not the most complex wine in the world, but very enjoyable

Open for 2 hours. Initially closed upon opening but 2 hrs after opening, aromas of blueberries, eucalyptus, hit of mint and bark. Intense ripe blue and blackberries, a bit of earth, bark with a mild eucalyptus/mint overlay. Pretty good acidity with nice length but finishes with some heat. 14.5% abv. Nicely done for a zin but think it's really not my thing.

Much lighter and balanced than I expected. Bright cranberry fruit nose with a little vanilla, the palate is fuller and creamy, the fruit errs on the sweeter side but is kept in tick by the fresh acidity. Gains power in the huge spicy finish. Nice.
