  • This wine was in fine shape with a pale green gold colour and a pleasant scented nose of white flowers, white stone fruits, grapefruit and limestone. The palate was well structured with plenty of tasty fruit and mineral characters well balanced. It all just lacked a bit of intensity and grip for this vineyard. A nicely composed bottle of wine but 'could do better' !

  • Mid gold.
Nutty butter and beurre noisette on the nose, with a bit of vanilla and butterscotch. With aeration, it starts to feel a bit fresher, with a touch of pear.
Good palate: rich and full, but still some very pleasant freshness from a sparky acidity.
You know, this might be the best bottle of this.
Lovely fruit, combined with a really buttery depth and weight. Serious stuff, and really rather impressive.

  • Past it’s best. Still an enjoyable drink but on a rather fast decline. Though bottles are not consistent.

  • Medium gold colour. Not exactly impressive or even expressive nose. Beurre noisette turning to butterscotch dominate the nose with a hint of peach and tropical fruit.
Quite full palate with lots of creamy, buttery weight. Good minerality and good acidity. Excellent length. But lacks depth and much in the way of interest.
Pleasant, but there are so many much more interesting and massively better value bottles of white Burgundy and certainly non-Burgundy chardonnay out there.
88/100 but I've docked a point for such poor QPR.

  • Medium gold. Very subtle nose. Some nectarines & a hint of beurre noisette. Quite a creamy feel in the mouth, initially at least. Precise, minerally chardonnay fruit with a good acidity. Quite poised and elegant. Feels like it's going to have good length, but drops off quite quickly.
