The Siduri pinots from 2004 and 2005 are not my favorite representation of the varietal...though have stopped buying Siduri pinots, Adam's syrahs under the Novy label continue to amaze...

Very heavy fruit flavor, coupled with a lot of alcohol -- way too much for a pinot. Not nuanced or complex. In the end, like the other Siduri and Novy wines I've had, just not my cup of tea (or glass of wine). Certainly pleasant and drinkable, but if I had wanted an Aussie Shiraz, I would have opened one.

Nose of oak, strawberry, and some vanilla bean? It's good and interesting. Taste of lush cherries, still some oak, and maybe a touch of okra? Also got heat on the back pallete. It's a good wine. Doesn't knock my socks off and I wouldn't get it again at the rip-off price I paid for it, maybe it's worth 16, 17 bucks.

Lots of deep, rich plummy cherry fruits, creamy oak, some vanilla, low acidity, light sweetness. OK, but not my favorite style of pinot noir.
