very good but not sublime.nose was pretty muted post one hour decant. def fruit forward but not complex nor layers of fruit to push it to a higher score. a pretty CA cab but not as amazing as we would have expected.

Decanted for an hour and it continued to get better in the glass. Really big fruit, with more acid than other Schraders I've had. Lots of blackberry flavor along with a little smokiness-can definitely see why others said they might mistake this for a syrah. As time went on more juicy dark cherry flavor developed. Long finish. Definitely something you need to be in the mood for, but yummy.

Blind; I thought this was part of a sqn flight. Probably a syrah.
This is a monster as is expected but after this got some air I was starting to enjoy it much more it's dark fruited with lots of tannins and a charcoal note which led me to believe that it was syrah.

Served blind. I liked this a lot better than the 2006 Schrader Beckstoffer we served alongside it. Dense and chewy, intense. Black and red fruit. Rocky and chewy finish with a dark espresso note. This was good but big.

Another awful 09. Thin, lipton tea, dark fruits, over-extracted, unbalanced.
