  The tannic structure still overshines the fruit and tertiary flavours that rise on the later mid palate. The wine has structure and a medium length and is for sure of good quality. Austere to be a super tuscan merlot but bombastic compared to other gaiole deliveries.

  This was stunning, with a little bit of air, revealed, tonnes of tobacco and spices. So very Tuscan, delicious and convincing throughout. 14% alc

  Glossy ruby red, very clean appearance. Very early signs of age on the rim.
  Wonderful aromas of licorice and menthol and dark ripe fruit.
  Tannins are integrated and the wine fills the mouth and leaves a gentle impression on the tongue. Juicy and rich enough at the same time, this wine has a decent balance and a pleasant overall impression. I think I enjoyed the aromas more than the taste, but the taste is very nice.

  This was quite OK, mature, still has good fruit, tannins are pronounced but quite smooth. However, in my eyes this wine lacks the complexity I'd expect at this price point and age. Had this alongside with Bordeaux left bank Château d'Armailhac 2007, and the original from Bordeaux kicked the butt of this Bordeaux-styled copy from Tuscany.
