Bright gold in colour. Classic nose of lemon/lime/lanolin. Covered through on the palate. Some bitterness and taut lines on the finish blossoms into a honeyed glory. As fresh tasting as any bottle I've had. Plenty of life left in this

?Bottle variance (screw top). A touch of oxidisation took away from the pleasure that this wine has given over the years. At £11 one of the best bargains of of the millennium! Assuming a sound bottle, should be giving 90pt+ enjoyment into the middle of the decade. Sadly this was my last.

A couple of year since I have had this and it is utterly delightful. Colour is a deep gold yet bright - no browning. Nose is bright lemon and lime, some grapefruit within a denser blanket of honey, toast, touch of lanolin, some olive almost - damp cellar and a mineral vein through it all. Palate is full and rich reflecting those citrus flavours, lanolin, toast, and the finish is very long - with a fine thread of honey piercing through the initial flush, and continuing on and on. Beautiful wine, and by far best value wine I have ever purchased. Hmm - after writing this note, I have had to add a point :) This bottle is in better condition than my last, so there is some variability - to be expected at this age - but plenty of life left here.

Quite a deep colour, and full bodied for a semillon, tropical fruit in with the lime and toast - but this is a very fine wine - and it cost less than a fiver.
