Pale and clear, nicely discoloured. On the nose quite musty with a slight cork taint, a little tired, mature fruit, spices, earth. On the palate a little unbalance with pronounced acidity, not much fruit, drying tannins.

Bonhams Pre-Auction Tasting (Bonham's - San Francisco, CA): Tasting, brief note. Mature and ripe red fruit that I certainly like, but I'd prefer more spice that I'd associate with Chambolle and less tannins that I associate with Faiveley of this era.

Bonhams Pre-Auction Tasting (San Francisco): Light in color and weight. Surprisingly high acidity for a 1990 and good remaining red fruit. Not bad at all.
