Dark ruby in color. Decanted 2 hours, but the nose never really revealed itself. Plum, blackberry, and spice were noted. Average mid-palate. Medium finish. Tannins still somewhat overpowering, needing time to soften. The fruit seems to be a bit muted. Will guess this wine will improve as the tannins begin to integrate. The question then will be the status of the fruit when this happens.

This wine was fine, but I didn't find it terribly interesting. It is highly acidic right now, without a lot of fruit showing through. It's possible this might balance out with time, but I didn't see much evidence of that based on 90+ minutes in the glass. Better with food than on its own.

Shut down when I first opened it. After an hour or so, started to come around. Medium body, black fruit, not a lot of complexity. A little disappointed.

- Brick color and aromas of blackberry, black currant and mushroom. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry, black currant and mushroom with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a long finish.

Very tannic and acidic at first, but it opened up after about 30 minutes. Lots of masculine leather and pine flavors. Not bad at all.
